This installer does not currently provide a verified Windows publisher identity. SmartScreen can warn or block it. We recommend stopping when that warning appears, and this build should not be promoted in a software-download advertisement until it has a trusted digital signature.
3. Verify a checksum
A SHA-256 checksum confirms that the downloaded bytes match the file measured for this release. It does not replace a trusted publisher signature.
macOS
shasum -a 256 /path/to/RelyVPN_file.dmg
Windows PowerShell
Get-FileHash C:\path\to\RelyVPN_X64_latest.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Android or Linux
sha256sum /path/to/RelyVPN_latest.apk
Compare every character with the checksum on this page. If it differs, do not open the file; delete it and contact support.
4. Expected installation and behavior
- The app requests permission to create or manage a VPN configuration because that is necessary to provide an encrypted connection.
- A desktop installer can request administrator approval to install app files and required networking components.
- Optional support or diagnostic features can process content or technical information only when the feature is used or the related permission is granted.
- The official installer is expected to install RelyVPN and the networking components needed for it, not unrelated bundled software.
- RelyVPN uses a device/license model and does not require an email-and-password account for basic use.
Device, connection, traffic-volume, diagnostics, support, purchase, and website data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. Report any installer behavior that does not match this description.
5. Updates
App Store builds update through Apple. Direct-download builds can notify you about an available version or require an update where an older build is insecure or incompatible. Before installing a direct update, return to this page and verify its source, version, signature status, size, and checksum.
Release metadata and checksums are updated when a direct-download file changes. A date shown here is the published artifact date, not a promise of how long that build will remain supported.
6. Uninstall and remove VPN settings
iPhone and iPad
Touch and hold the RelyVPN icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App. If a VPN configuration remains, review it in Settings under VPN or VPN & Device Management and remove it if no longer needed. Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Android
Open Settings, Apps, RelyVPN, then Uninstall. Review the device's VPN settings and remove an unused RelyVPN profile. Deleting an APK or uninstalling the app does not cancel a store subscription.
macOS
Quit RelyVPN, remove the app from Applications, and empty the Trash. Review System Settings under VPN and network extensions for an unused RelyVPN configuration. Contact support if a networking component remains.
Windows
Open Settings, Apps, Installed apps, select RelyVPN, and choose Uninstall. Restart if Windows requests it. Review VPN and network-adapter settings if a RelyVPN component remains, then contact support rather than deleting system files manually.
7. Support and publisher
For a mismatched checksum, unexpected installer behavior, update problem, or removal issue, email rely_support@relyvpn.com and include the platform, filename, version, download URL, and warning shown. Do not attach a large installer unless support asks for it.
